Tempus AI (TEM) Q2 2026: The First Profitable Quarter Was a $97 Million Mark-to-Market Gain
Tempus AI reported GAAP net income of $5.6 million for the quarter ended June 30, the first positive bottom line in its public history, and the number is almost entirely an accounting event. Loss from operations widened to $75.9 million from $61.8 million a year earlier. Robinhood Q2: Event Contracts Up More Than 10x to $156M as Crypto Revenue Fell 38%
Robinhood reported second-quarter revenue of $1.31 billion, up 32% year over year against a $1.29 billion consensus. Inside that number, event contracts revenue rose more than tenfold to $156 million while crypto revenue fell 38% to $100 million. The prediction market business is now larger than the crypto trading business, and it got there in roughly a year.
That crossover is the print. Crypto trading was the growth engine that carried this company through two cycles and it is behaving exactly as a transactional crypto business always behaves, which is to say it tracks retail speculative appetite with no floor underneath it.

What Is an Analyst Call
An analyst call is a scheduled conference call or webcast in which a company’s leadership—typically the CEO, CFO, and select executives—speaks directly with financial analysts, institutional investors, and sometimes journalists about performance and outlook.
The most common occasion is the quarterly earnings release. Companies like Apple or Tesla publish their results, then convene a call to walk through the numbers in depth. The format is predictable. Management delivers prepared remarks covering revenue, profit, operational highlights, and where necessary, explanations for misses or shortfalls.
